It’s Dixieland on the Boardwalk on Fridays with a strolling band playing inspirational songs and American hits. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday will feature live concerts.

The Butterfly and Art Festival: Colorful Wings and Pretty Things is new to Brookgreen Gardens this year. The two-day event will offer art from talented artists from around our region and a wide array of activities for any age. Kids can make butterfly crafts and chalk art. Taste of The Market Common will feature scrumptious treats from the restaurants and stores at the complex. Mouth-watering food sponsored and provided by: Piggly Wiggly, Devo Olive Oil Co., Tommy Bahama, Nacho Hippo, Ultimate California Pizza, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Gordon Biersch, Travinia Italian Kitchen and King Street Grille. The event will feature ice cold beer and refreshing wine and live bluegrass music. Pottery Barn will showcase outdoor furniture and decorating tips. Exciting culinary demonstrations by professional chefs (cookware provided by Williams-Sonoma). Admission is $5 and proceeds will benefit the Lowcountry Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens. Tickets will be sold for food and drink samples.
About the Lowcountry Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens – The Lowcountry Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens is the only zoo accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) on the coast of North and South Carolina. The AZA is the most respected organization for zoos and aquariums and accredits only those institutions that have achieved rigorous standards for animal care, education, wildlife conservation and science. All of the native animals in the Lowcountry Zoo were either bred and raised in captivity at an AZA accredited institution or were obtained from a wildlife rehabilitation center after sustaining a major disability due to injury. In either case, these animals could not survive in the wild.
